About the role
Are you passionate about supporting women and gender diverse people to access essential health services, utilising your expertise in sexual and reproductive health?
As a Senior Information and Resource Officer, you will be at the heart of our mission, providing crucial information on contraception, abortion, and sexual health to the public.
Your work, as part of the 1800 My Options Team, will be instrumental in connecting individuals to vital sexual and reproductive health services, ensuring they receive the support and care they need.
We are seeking a self-motivated and compassionate person with a strong commitment to feminist and pro-choice principles.
Amongst other selection criteria, as an ideal candidate, you’ll have:
- A demonstrated understanding of women’s sexual and reproductive health issues particularly in relation to unplanned pregnancy, abortion and contraceptive options;
- Ability to clearly communicate sensitive information, identifying appropriate options based on individual service user needs;
- Qualifications in counselling, social work, psychology, nursing, welfare, public health or other related fields; and
- Experience working in a health or community setting.
