Victorian Women's Health Program Services
The Victorian Government funds 12 independent services through the Women's Health Program in Victoria (VWHP). They include nine regional and rural services, and three state-wide services. The Victorian Women's Health Program was established in 1987, and was developed to provide services 'by women for women'. The dual strategy of delivering gender-specific health services whilst working to improve mainstream services remains a key aspect of women's health.
These organisations are all members of the representative peak organisation Women's Health Association of Victoria (WHAV).
