Health Rights

As women there are many times in our lives when we come into contact with individuals and organisations that provide health care, health information, education and health promotion. We may have contact with them in a hospital (public or private), health professionals’ rooms, community health centres, neighbourhood houses, schools or on the phone - just to mention a few.

As consumers we are entitled to have access to quality health care and information, to be treated with dignity and respect ensuring privacy of ourselves and also information about us, to be active participants in any decisions made regarding our treatment and to control our own bodies in every aspect of health care.
