Women's Health Information ClearinghouseA clearinghouse is similar to a library in that it receives, organises and disseminates information. However, a clearinghouse collects information in a specific field and makes that information available to people and groups. Most importantly, it prevents the duplication of effort by its users, by identifying, describing and evaluating information relevant to their knowledge area. The Women’s Health Victoria’s Clearinghouse collects English language resources relating to women’s health. It sorts, analyses and reviews the women’s health information collected to ensure its currency, usefulness and relevance and is made easily accessible to health professionals and policy makers. How can our Clearinghouse inform your work?
